Soeur Miller week 20 (5-25-26)
Salut!!
It was a productive week and we saw so many miracles! First of all, it is beautiful here! The weather is pretty much perfect! Some days it rains but most of the time it feels so good! We had a couple really humid days which makes taking a crowed public bus and metro everywhere kind of brutal but I am grateful we get to walk and be outside everyday! Montréal is so cute and the buildings are all really cool and different! I feel so lucky to be in the heart of the city everyday at this time of year!
Another tender mercy is that our sweet friend Serena got baptized this past Sunday!! She is one of the purest people I know and it was such a beautiful baptism! She has been working with missionaries for a long time and watching her finally make this covenant with God was so special! I am so happy for her!
Also back in Ottawa my new member Fatih went through the temple!! Ahh so excited for him! I miss the temple so much but I think we are going next transfer! Counting down the days!
Overall it was a good and busy week! I'm still struggling to find my footing in French but I think I am getting a tiny bit better everyday and I know the Lord will magnify any effort I give!
Something I really loved in my personal study this week was this quote: "You may permit the Lord to change your nature if you give yourself to Him and to His work. He cannot work on what He does not have, and He cannot have you, unless you give yourself to Him."
I love this so much because it applies to anything you are going through! Heavenly is just waiting for us to give ourselves to Him so He can bless us! I have seen so clearly on my mission that when I give all I have to Him, which is never a lot, I receive so much more! There is no way I could do this without my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ! This is their work and we are their work! Give yourself a little more to Christ this week and see how He helps you become! He sees our potential and has given us everything we need to reach it! Look to Jesus Christ because He is the way!! Love you all so much!!
