Soeur Miller week 13 (4-6-26)
I'm already in my 2nd transfer in the field! So crazy! I have a new companion but I'm still in Ottawa! My companion Sœur Curtis is so cute and she speaks French so I'm really excited to grow my French over the next few weeks! It's just a 5 week transfer which is kinda weird but it's going to fly by!
I'm really grateful to still be in Ottawa because I love the ward and people so much!! We still have snow but it melts faster everyday and hopefully it just keeps getting warmer!
General Conference was SO amazing! I loved every minute of it and it was so fun to watch the sessions with members and friends! I am so excited to study anf reread the talks over and over! One of my favorites was President Henry B. Erying's talk about prayer! We were able to watch it with our friend Jane and she is so awesome but she doesn't feel ready to be baptized because she said she feels like she doesn't know enough. It broke my heart because she is so sweet, she comes to church every week, and I know she will be so blessed for making the choice to be baptized! My companion was talking to her and answering some of her questions and I got super a strong impression to tell her to pray to feel ready and pray for a feeling of peace as she takes those steps of faith towards baptism! It was right before President Eyring's talk and the spirit was so strong as he talked about fervent prayer and how Heavenly Father knows what we need before we even ask! I have felt that so much stronger throughout my life and I am so grateful for the power of prayer! Heaven is so close if we want it to be and Heavenly Father wants nothing more than for us to turn to Him through prayer!
