SOEUR MILLER week 8 (3/2/26)

 

Bonjour!

Wow time is really flying and I have been learning so much! I love my area more everyday and the people here are really amazing! Even though it's an English area, Ottawa is full of French speakers so I've had a ton of practice with my French and my language studies are full of lots of flashcards! 

We've had so many good lessons this week and we are hoping to get our friend Alexis on date! We also had a friend who we hadn't seen in awhile come to church! His name is Joe Steve and he said he's been looking for a miracle in his life, but he decided to make one for himself and take work off on Sundays to be at church! We're really excited to keep meeting with him this week! 

The sun is starting to come out more and more and I think we are out of the negatives! It really hasn't been too bad and luckily the roads have been super clear so driving hasn't been anything crazy! I'm so grateful we have a car because even though it's warming up the wind is brutal and my face gets numb within seconds of being outside. But the car is a blessing and I'm so grateful for seat heaters! 

This week we had Zone Conference and it was really fun to be around other missionaries and be with our mission president and his wife. The focus of the zone conference was the Atonement and this whole month our mission focus is on how we can make Easter more Christ centered! I'm so excited to really study the Atonement this week and use it in all of our lessons leading up to Easter! I am so grateful for the Atonement and the healing and enabling power it has! One scripture we talked about was in the Book of Mormon, Ether 12:41. 

41 And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen.

I love this scripture! I'm so grateful to be a missionary and seek Jesus Christ everyday and not just learn more about Him but also how to become like Him! I feel so blessed to be able to help others seek this Jesus for themselves! Hope you all have an amazing week!
